Therapy can sometimes feel daunting, so my aim as a counsellor and psychotherapist is to keep things transparent and supportive. I offer both in-person sessions, online and telephone therapy, so we can work in a way that feels most comfortable for you. My approach is integrative counselling; I blend a range of therapeutic models to create a collaborative way of working. At the heart of this is a Person-Centred foundation, which ensures our sessions are always guided by your pace, your needs, and your unique experience.
In our sessions, you can expect:
A collaborative space: We work as a team to explore what’s on your mind at a pace that feels right for you.
A tailored approach: Whether you need to vent, learn practical stress-management tools, or process deeper experiences, we focus on what you need, viewing you as the expert on your own life.
A safe, inclusive space: I am a neuro-affirmative therapist and LGBTQIA+ affirmative counsellor. I am happy to adapt our communication style and the therapeutic environment to suit your accessibility needs. You won’t need to explain or justify who you are or how your brain works; I am here to hold space for you without judgment.
Please note that you do not need to identify in these ways to work with me; my practice is open to anyone—including those who are currently questioning their identity or exploring their needs.
Human connection: I show up as myself, not just a professional, because I believe our genuine connection is where real therapeutic change begins.
My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling more grounded, understood, and equipped to navigate whatever life brings your way. If you are curious about the specific therapeutic models that inform my practice, you can read more about these in the 'Types of Therapy' section below.
I work as an integrative therapist, which means I draw upon a range of evidence-based therapeutic practices to ensure our work is tailored to your unique needs. My practice is grounded in the following approaches: ACT, integrative, person-centred, relational, and SFBT.
My approach is deeply relational. I see my role as holding a secure space for you, where you can share openly without fear of judgment. We will work in partnership, ensuring that the focus remains entirely on your needs and your unique perspective.
If this way of working sounds like it would be helpful for you, please feel free to send me a message for more information, or reach out to book a consultation so we can discuss how I can support you.
I aim to make the start of therapy as easy and accessible as possible.
· Initial connection: I provide a free, no-pressure 20-minute chat to discuss what brings you to counselling and answer any questions you may have. This can take place online or over the phone. There is no obligation to proceed further; this is simply an opportunity to explore how we might work together and ensure you have the information you need to decide your next steps.
· Our first meeting: This is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your goals, and briefly cover the practical details of how we work together, to make sure you feel comfortable and safe in a supportive space. This can take place in person, online, or over the phone.
· At your own pace: There is no need to have everything "figured out"; we will work together at a pace that feels right for you.
My therapeutic practice is built on a solid academic and professional foundation. I hold an MA in Integrative Counselling and am a registered member of the BACP, working in accordance with their ethical framework. This training ensures that I provide safe, structured, and clinically sound support for every client.
